Hamilton Takes Stunning Singapore Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton took a stunning victory in the Singapore Grand Prix, holding off a late charge from Sebastian Vettel to claim his seventh win of the season. The Mercedes driver started from pole position and led for the majority of the race, but Vettel closed the gap in the closing laps.
Hamilton was able to hold on for the win, however, and now leads the championship standings by 30 points. Vettel finished second, with Max Verstappen completing the podium.
Verstappen Impresses On Home Turf
Max Verstappen impressed on home turf, finishing third in the Singapore Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver started from fourth on the grid, but made a good start and quickly moved up to third.
Verstappen was able to hold on to third place for the majority of the race, and even closed the gap to Vettel in the closing laps. The Dutchman was unable to make a move for second, however, and had to settle for third place.
Leclerc Disappoints In Singapore
Charles Leclerc had a disappointing race in Singapore, finishing fourth. The Ferrari driver started from second on the grid, but made a poor start and dropped down to fourth.
Leclerc was unable to make up the lost ground and finished fourth, behind Verstappen. The Monegasque driver is now 50 points behind Hamilton in the championship standings.
Gasly Scores Second Podium For AlphaTauri
Pierre Gasly scored his second podium of the season for AlphaTauri, finishing fifth in the Singapore Grand Prix. The Frenchman started from seventh on the grid, but made a good start and quickly moved up to fourth.
Gasly was able to hold on to fourth place for the majority of the race, but was overtaken by Verstappen in the closing laps. The Frenchman was still able to finish fifth, however, and claim his second podium of the season.
Sainz Finishes Sixth For Ferrari
Carlos Sainz finished sixth for Ferrari in the Singapore Grand Prix. The Spaniard started from fifth on the grid, but made a poor start and dropped down to sixth.
Sainz was unable to make up the lost ground and finished sixth, behind Gasly. The Spaniard is now 55 points behind Hamilton in the championship standings.
Norris Finishes Seventh For McLaren
Lando Norris finished seventh for McLaren in the Singapore Grand Prix. The British driver started from eighth on the grid, but made a good start and quickly moved up to seventh.
Norris was able to hold on to seventh place for the majority of the race, and finished just behind Sainz. The British driver is now 65 points behind Hamilton in the championship standings.
