Tempest Begins Drill Testing Remorses Promising Potential

Tempest Begins Drill Testing Remorse’s “Promising Potential”

Drilling Commences at High-Impact Remorse Target, WA

Tempest Minerals Ltd. (ASX: TEM) has commenced a highly anticipated reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its 100%-owned Remorse Project in Western Australia. Remorse is an extraordinarily prospective gold exploration project within the highly endowed Murchison goldfields and is located along the same geological trend as the famed Meekatharra gold deposits.

Remorse Project: A Geological Goldmine

The Remorse project encompasses a group of contiguous tenements covering a total area of approximately 120 square kilometers. This strategic location is highly prospective for gold mineralization due to its geological similarities to other fertile gold producing regions within the Murchison province.

The project area is underlain by a sequence of mafic and ultramafic rocks, overlain by sedimentary and volcanic units of the Yalgoo greenstone belt, which hosts several significant gold deposits. The Remorse project has been the subject of minimal previous exploration, yet historical drilling has intersected gold mineralization in multiple locations.

Exploration Highlights

  • Commencement of a 5,000-meter RC drilling program at the Remorse Project.
  • Targeting high-priority gold anomalies identified from auger and aircore drilling.
  • Drilling designed to test the depth and continuity of gold mineralization.

Tempest Minerals Managing Director, Shane Mele, commented on the significance of the exploration program: "This RC drilling program is a significant milestone for Tempest as we continue to explore the exciting potential of the Remorse Project. The geological setting, coupled with the encouraging results from our previous drilling campaigns, has us optimistic about the potential for a major gold discovery."

The drilling program is planned to comprise approximately 5,000 meters of RC drilling across multiple drill holes. The program is designed to test the depth and continuity of gold mineralization at several high-priority target areas identified from previous auger and aircore drilling.

Assays from the RC drilling program are expected to be received in the coming weeks and will provide further insights into the gold mineralization at the Remorse project. Tempest Minerals is eagerly anticipating the results and will keep the market informed of any material developments.
